After finishing a professional training in horticulture and working some years as a site supervisor Florian Strauß (*1981) studied landscape architecture at the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan and the Technical University Munich from 2006 till 2012. Followed by his master degree at Professor Regine Keller’s chair he started as project leader at Schweingruber Zulauf landscape architects in Zurich. Florian Strauß is part of the Studio Vulkan team since the foundation in 2014. Today he is partner, lives in Munich and develops the office location there together with Dominik Bueckers and Lukas Schweingruber.
Florian Strauß deals with the design and the construction of contemporary urban living and working spaces. In 2021 Florian Strauß was guest professor at the chair of urbanism and design of the University of Applied Sciences in Biberach. In addition to that he teaches at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, criticises as a guest and participates as professional adjucator at competition juries.
